Description
Hempaline Prepare 130 is an epoxy novolac holding primer with excellent adhesion and chemical resistance to a broad range of chemicals.

Recommended use
Hempaline Prepare 130 is recommended as a holding primer to maintain the blast of steel for internal tank linings where solvent free epoxies are used.

Surface preparation

Cleanliness

  • Remove oil, grease with detergent.
  • Wash off salts with high pressure fresh water.
  • For concrete: as per Hempel’s Specification.

  • Remove dust, blast media

Overcoating note

  • Surface must be clean, dry
  • If max interval exceeded: roughening or sweep blasting required

Other remarks

  • Epoxy coatings may chalk in sunlight. Does not affect performance.
  • Hempel’s Specification takes precedence.
